Acid Sonic Research
is an experimental record label established in 1996 that covers
many styles and genres, predominantly in the electronic field,
but more importantly continuing the tradition of psychedelic
music throughout the centuries. Thousands of recordings have
been made, some of the recordings fit in with modern musical
movements such as ambient, minimalism, techno, IDM (intelligent
dance music), space-rock etc while some of the recordings
are closer in intention and influence to more ancient forms
of music and communication. ‘Exploring biological rhythms,
organic structures and environments’ has been the main
idea behind most of these experiments and these recordings
move and grow like the life they describe.
